Chicago's dark and dangerous duo are back with a frightening
dose of drum n bass, breakbeat and industrial soundscapes.
Recent tours with KMFDM and Frontline Assembly ramped up the
exposure and attention for their last two albums "Killing
Mobius" and "Mako Vs Geist" One of the few electronic artists to
succcessfully fuse industrial elements with top-notch jungle
production, DJ? Acucrack has worked hard over the years to cross
the streams and build a fanbase of electronic music fans who
donÆt feel the need to be pigeonholed. The new album "Humanoids
From the Deep" harkens back to the more eclectic offerings from
Acucrack, and features Dean Garcia of Curve on several tracks.
Grinding noise, fearsome subs, machine gun lyrics and pummeling
beats share space with haunting melodies and otherworldly
atmospheres, all tied with a bloody bow paying homage to the
classic horror movie genre. Fearsome and dark, "Humanoids" is
easily the most industrial-slanted Acucrack offering in years.
